KRING and InstallatørGruppen launch Spectia to digitize workflows, compliance, and sustainability reporting in the installation industry
September 11, 2025
The need for new and better digital solutions tailored to the complex demands of the installation industry is growing. A clear example is the latest tightened legislation on sustainability documentation. To address this, KRING and InstallatørGruppen have established a new company, Spectia, with the first 40 installers already in the process of being onboarded to the company’s new digital platform
With Spectia, the installation industry gains access to a digital platform that makes it simple and efficient for technical installers to handle a range of business-critical tasks and workflows:
“With Spectia’s procurement module, installers will be able to automate workflows related to comparing purchase proposals, checking invoices, and benchmarking prices against agreed discounts and bonus schemes. Over time, the platform will also automatically generate CO2 calculations and documentation for all purchased products and materials, the so-called LCA documentation. From July 1, 2025, new stricter legal requirements will apply for building permits in this area. Finally, the Spectia platform will from the start also provide insight into expected bonuses, which can otherwise be difficult for many installers to understand,”
explains co-founder and CEO Nicholas Andreasen.
The groundwork for Spectia started more than two years ago, based on InstallatørGruppen’s extensive practical experience and targeted optimization efforts in its own installation businesses, as well as the broader challenges facing the industry. With Spectia’s platform, especially smaller local installation companies — both within and outside InstallatørGruppen — will gain a significant advantage in price comparison and in supporting their customers with LCA calculations and CO2 emission reports.
“This is a critical and large-scale effort for the entire industry, which is why it was natural for us to help launch this project. All installers will now have access to the same advanced digital tools as large corporations, strengthening competitiveness across the industry,”
says Niels Meidahl, CEO of InstallatørGruppen.
From the start, InstallatørGruppen and KRING saw the potential in combining KRING’s proven track record in digital innovation and software commercialization with InstallatørGruppen’s deep industry knowledge as a leading market player. This creates the right mix to tackle industry-specific challenges systematically and with strong commercial potential. KRING also draws on experience from earlier ventures in the installation industry.
“At KRING, we have successfully built and scaled companies in the installation sector from scratch with Enova Energy and Bodil Energi, in the latter case with InstallatørGruppen as the main installation partner. These ventures focused on green solutions, digitalization, streamlined processes, and first-class customer experiences. These lessons — together with our tested methods, form the foundation for Spectia. We see the company playing a central role in the further digital transformation of the installation industry, not only in Denmark but also across several European countries,”
concludes Martin Kring, CEO of KRING.
